How we look after your information.

This notice explains what personal information The Circle Marketing collects through this website, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, get in touch using the details at the bottom of this page.

Who we are

The Circle Marketing is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at clare@thecirclemarketing.co.uk or on 07591 880930.

What we collect

• When you send an enquiry: your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, business name, the service you are interested in and your message.
• When you email or call us: the details you share with us in that conversation.
• When you browse the site: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as pages visited, approximate location and the type of device. It does not tell us who you are.
• If you sign up to our newsletter: your email address and any details the sign-up form asks for. Sign-up is handled by Mailchimp on its own form.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to provide our services. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps you have asked for before entering a contract.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it. We only do this with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner.
• To send our newsletter, with your consent. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and our business. They only use your information on our instructions:

• Our website platform and hosting provider, The Web Guys. The website runs on servers in the UK, with encrypted backups held in the European Union.
• An email delivery service, which sends enquiry notifications from the website.
• Google, for website analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies).
• Mailchimp, for our newsletter.
• Microsoft, which provides our business email.

Some of these providers are based in, or may process information in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the UK–US Data Bridge or the provider's standard data protection contract terms.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep client records for as long as the law requires. Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of essential cookies so that it works properly. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to transfer it to you or someone else, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email clare@thecirclemarketing.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if the way we use personal information changes. Last updated: 2 October 2026.
